x[] ECHOS
It is built around 30 short, focused units designed to be covered in one or two weeks each.
All learning activities are centred on written and oral documents chosen to reflect a wide range of situations and language functions.
In each unit, comprehension, speaking and writing skills are developed, and grammar is integrated in a lively and engaging way.
Most of the units build to a final exercise which combines everything learnt within the unit.
After every 6 units there is an 'En Plus' section using exam-style questions and revisiting the topics most recently studied.
Students are encouraged throughout to use other points of reference such as the Internet, dictionaries, maps, books, newspapers, French people and people who have spent time in France to further their learning.
There is a comprehensive grammar section at the back of the book, referred to from within the units.
The tapescript is included within the book as an extra resource for students, and to increase time efficiency in the classroom.
Cassettes available separately to accompany the main textbook.
