School Book Covering

Book covering significantly extends the life of the book, keeping it in good condition. Book Haven offers the following types of book covering:

Speedycover welded jacks  

Our Speedycover machines tailor a tight fitting 90-micron clear plastic jacket which fits all sizes and shapes of books. If the book ordered comes as a set, you can choose whether to get all of the books covered, the textbook only covered or the workbooks only covered. You can specify which books you would like to get covered at the checkout. Copy and book covers, rolls of adhesive plastic covering, and brown paper can be purchased for covering at home.

Hardcover 250-micron adhesive jacket

This is an extremely durable polypropylene adhesive cover, machine-cut to size (industrial guillotine) so that books of all sizes and types can be covered.

Slip-on jackets

A slip-on 120-micron polypropylene jacket which can be supplied loose with a book order or fitted to the book in-house by Book Haven staff prior to despatch.

Spine reinforcement option

In addition to the three covering options mentioned above, Book Haven offers school customers an option to have the spine of the book protected, prior to covering, by affixing a 50mm strip of heavy duty, clear adhesive tape to the spine. The spine protection option can be combined with any of the book-covering options listed above.
